Marky Mark |
Mark Wahlberg is by far the coolest man to ever come out of the streets of Boston. He was born and raised in inner city Dorchester, MA where he was the youngest child of nine in the Wahlberg household. He was not the easiest kid to raise as he often created havoc as far as getting arrested about 25 times as a teenager. That number is not even an exaggeration. The 25th time that he got arrested was undoubtedly his most notorious arrest and arguably his dumbest. He was in an argument with a man on a corner street in Dorchester when he took a stick and started beating the crap out of the man. The man actually ended up losing an eye and Wahlberg was sentenced to 50 days in prison. While in prison Wahlberg got really big as far as getting in tremendous shape. He was huge when he got out.
When Wahlberg got out of prison his older brother Donnie who was already a successful singer on the boy band Knew Kids On The Block, took Mark by the hand and got him a deal to become a rapper. His name was now Marky Mark, as he was the head man on Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. The had one huge hit called Good Vibrations, as Marky Mark was known for taking his pants off during the concerts for the ladies and showing off his modeling body for Kelvin Klien Underwear who sponsered Marky Mark. Then his movie career started. Mark Wahlberg has been shown in 27 movies since 1994 and they are; Renaissance Man, The Basketball Diaries, Fear, Boogie Nights, the Big Hit, The corruptor, Three Kings, The Yards, The Perfect Storm, Planet of the Apes, Rock Star, America A Tribute to Heroes, The Truth About Charlie, The Italian Job, Overnight, I Heart Huckabees, Four Brothers, Invincible, The Departed, Shooter, We Own the Night, The Happening, Max Payne, The Lovely Bones, Date Night, The Other Guys, The Fighter. Wahlberg is also the producer of the HBO series Entourage. And he has a Mark Wahlberg Foundation which supports inner city kids on the poverty side.
